Pea flour is a powder milled from roasted peas. In small amounts, pea flour can be a great and wholesome ingredient in dog food, as it is rich in iron and calcium and is also high in fibre.

Pea flour also contains a high proportion of protein and is sometimes used in higher proportions as a protein supplement. However, dogs cannot digest plant proteins as well as those found in meats so at Cooka’s we advise that these kind of protein-flours should never take the place of high quality meat ingredients.
