Considered a lean protein, which makes it perfect for the health-conscious dog. Protein is the main source of energy for our pets and chicken provides that boost without a high calorie count. Chicken is known to help build muscle mass and provides a great dose of Omega 6, important for a shiny coat and healthy skin. Rich in essential amino acids and glucosamine, it also helps to strengthen the bones.

Sweet potato

Sweet potatoes are a gentle, nourishing source of natural energy. Rich in beta-carotene and fibre, they help support healthy skin and coat, good digestion, and overall wellbeing, making them a lovely choice for sensitive dogs.

Sweet peas

Sweet peas are a natural source of plant-based protein and fibre, helping support digestion and overall wellbeing. They contain vitamins and minerals that contribute to healthy eyes, heart, and immune function.

Spinach

Spinach is rich in iron, helping support healthy blood and natural energy. Packed with antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E, it contributes to immune support and healthy skin. Naturally high in fibre, spinach also helps support digestion. As with all good things, it should be fed in moderation.

Broccoli

Broccoli is low in calories and high in fiber, aiding digestion in dogs. Rich in vitamins C and K, it supports the immune system and bone health. Contains antioxidants that help fight inflammation and disease.
Best served cooked or raw in small amounts to avoid stomach upset.

Hemp Seeds

A highly nutritious seed and a concentrated source of essential minerals and vitamins, including calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and vitamins E and B. Hemp seeds naturally provide the ideal ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential fats dogs cannot produce themselves. Hemp helps support healthy skin, a shiny coat, and strong joints and bones.

Sunflower oil

Golden sunflower oil is a natural source of omega-6 fatty acids, helping support healthy skin, a glossy coat, and everyday energy. Naturally lower in saturated fat, it also provides vitamin E, vitamin K, and plant sterols that contribute to immune support and heart health.

Rosemary

Naturally rich in antioxidants, rosemary has long been valued for its preserving properties. At Cooka’s, we use rosemary extract to help keep our recipes fresh for longer.

Oregano

At Cooka’s we love Oregano. Often called 'Natures antibiotic', this herb is also anti-fungal and antimicrobial, which may help to protect from and fight infections. Oregano is rich in Vitamins and Minerals and has one of the highest antioxidant levels found in any food (4 times more than blueberries). It may help to expel parasites and is also said to aid digestive issues.

At Cooka’s we use dried oregano.

Our fresh food is carefully shipped in a specially insulated cool box and usually arrives within 24 hours. In rare cases, delivery may take up to 48 hours. This does not affect food quality, as all meals are fully cooked, vacuum-sealed, and kept in a controlled, cool environment throughout their journey.

Because the meals are cooked and vacuum-sealed, they remain very stable and safe. Even if a meal softens or partially defrosts during transport, it is perfectly fine as long as it arrives cold to the touch. Simply place the meals in the refrigerator and enjoy within the normal shelf life, or refreeze them if you prefer. Unopened vacuum-sealed meals can be safely stored in the refrigerator for 4–6 weeks.

We ship with MRW to ensure reliable and fast delivery. You are also welcome to collect your order directly from our kitchen at no additional cost. We love meeting our clients, so do come by and just say hello.

Important note

Deliveries do not take place on Mondays. To protect freshness, we carefully schedule shipments so that parcels are not held over the weekend.

Our meals can be stored either frozen or refrigerated.

In the freezer (−18 °C), keep the meals frozen until the expiration date indicated on the package.

Unopened vacuum-sealed meals may also be stored in the refrigerator (1–4 °C) for up to four weeks.

Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within four days.

For best results, defrost gently by transferring the package from the freezer to the refrigerator and allowing it to thaw slowly.
