Do you know the world’s scariest cat?

Xherdan the sphinx cat knows that looks can be deceiving. The wrinkly 6-year-old kitty is a furless feline and described as “very lovely” and sweet by her owner. “Xherdan is a very active cat and he talks a great deal, in all pitches, when he is excited, when he is hungry, when he plays or while cuddling and falling asleep, he is like a child and his character is very lovely,” says mommy Sandra Filippi. Filippi, who lives in Rüti, Switzerland, also added that it was love at first sight when she met the sphinx cat for the first time. “When I saw him, he immediately stole my heart,” she says. “His wrinkled pink skin, as fine as a peach, and his turquoise eyes, I was in love!” To share her little beauty with the world, Filippi created an Instagram page @xherdanthenakedcat, where his wrinkles, pinching eyes and that little constant frown have already lured more than 23,000 followers…  

Filippi found that many of Xerdan’s IG followers and even those who meet the feline in person, assume that he will be a mean cat, based on his rather scary looks, which have been compared to walnuts, a dumpling, an albino Yoda, or even a brain. However, everyone is quickly proven wrong and won over by Xherdan’s charm. While a hairless cat may seem like less work than their furry counterparts, Xherdan’s mommy says said that the sphinx still requires a regular ear, eye and foot cleaning. But then, that is well worth the love our pet give us. No matter if furry, smooth, scary or cute…
